The Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon (ICS-Instituto de Ciências Sociais) is located in Lisbon in the campus of Lisbon University, at the centre of a triangle formed by the Santa Maria Hospital, the National Library and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Recommended transport

Avoid using your own vehicle to get to the ICS because parking in the area is very difficult. As an alternative, three different types of public transport can be used:

Entrecampos Station
Rede CP


Depending from where you are coming from. If you are coming from Lisbon airport, you can catch the bus nº 744 or 783 and step out at Entrecampos. If you are coming from the city centre you can catch the bus nº 207 or 736 and also step out at Entrecampos.
Once out of the bus, head towards Campo Grande and walk about 200 metres passing by the City Hall, a coffee-shop and a hairdresser’s. Turn left at the end of this street and you’ll find Av. Prof. Aníbal de Bettencourt.
You can also catch AEROBUS Yellow Bus Tours which connects the airport to several city points including hotels.
I tis available from 7 am to 11pm.
The ICS building is located about 100 metres ahead.

From ENTRE CAMPOS Metro station, walk about 200 metres towards Campo Grande, passing by the City Hall, a coffee-shop and a hairdresser’s. Turn left at the end of this street and you’ll find Av. Prof. Aníbal de Bettencourt. Walk about 100 metres along this street and you will find the ICS building on your left.
